Would you like to create an area in your garden that is dedicated to meditation and reflection? Where you can find inspiration and magic? Where you can connect to Nature's deep essence and hence learn more about yourself? Or where you can connect to your ancestors and honour their lives?
Don't try to create a Sacred Garden at the planning board, with your 'left brain' only. To create harmony and balance, and invite magic and positive energy into your garden, you may want to do some inner work first.
The first step is connecting to the essence of the land; the four elements, the plants and creatures who are already there, and the ancestors who used to live in this garden.
You also might want to access your inner wisdom to find out what would make you feel calm and relaxed, and what would inspire you when sitting in your garden.
I can guide you on this inner journey and help you connect to your land, but I won't build the garden for you. Possible tools we will use are Viusalisation Journeys and the wisdom of the Medicine Wheel.
Sacred Medicine Gardens
If you have a kitchen garden or plan to create one, I can advise you on the medical and spiritual qualities of some of our common herbs, and the folklore around them.
Many of our kitchen herbs are much more than tasty spices. They have been known and used as medical plants for thousands of years. You can learn how to connect to their strong 'spirit' - their inner essence - which can heal and give you some new insights. The plants will love it if you talk to them - and you may learn something that is not written in the herbal guide books.
