Drum Journey Skills for Guidance, Healing and Transformation
​(Foundation Course Shamanic methods)

This workshop teaches drum journey skills - the ability to switch off your busy left brain and connect to your deeper wisdom, and the wisdom of the universe. This is about re-connecting with your True Self, and welcoming it in your life. When you are connected with your deepest Essence, it is easier to be in balance, and step into your joy. 

Drum journeying enables you to access teaching and healing in the 'non-ordinary reality' - which can help you transform your life in a positive manner, and give you practical guidance for your everyday life; your purpose, your relationships, projects, etc. 

Drum Journeying is very old - its roots are in Shamanic traditions around the world. We will explore the principles and history of Shamanic working, and learn more about how to create our own relationship  with the Sacred. This is not a religion - but a path to be more connected with all that is. 

After this workshop, you are invited to attend the Drum Journey Circle and the intermediate/advanced courses of the shamanic path.

The shamanic roots of Drum Journeying

• What is Shamanism? Differences between Ethnical/traditional shamanism and Contemporary Western shamanism. Why we do not call ourselves "shamans". 
• Basic principles and ethics of doing shamanic work in our society.

Drum Journey Skills - using Drum Journeying every day

• Learn how to journey to the drum. Lower World Journeys. Exploring the features of the non-ordinary reality, so that you can safely 'visit' this reality and come back; using a disciplined process and a firm intention.
• Power animal retrieval: Meeting your power animal and learn how to create a helpful relationship with it. Using your Power Animal for protection.
• Journey practice: being clear with your intentions, asking powerful questions, creating a "Sacred Partnership" with the universe and your spirit team.
• Using song, movement and ceremony to deepen your work (foundation level).

Basic Shamanic Healing - Working for others (you need permission to work for others)

• Journeying for others
• Sending healing and transformative energy
• Basic healing journey for others 

Group ceremony to increase your inner strength and self-confidence.

Weekend Course

• Dates:  12/13 October 2024
• Time:  Saturday: 10.00am-6.30pm;  Sunday 1.00-5.30pm . Sunday morning is for reflection/integration work and further personal work with your Power animal. Do not schedule anything Sunday morning, or right after the workshop - you will need some time for yourself. 
• Where: Fireside Lodge, Hanwell, West London (non residential)
• Costs: 190£ (non-refundable deposit to reserve your place: 60£). 
• Pre-requisites: None - you need an open mind and an interest in spirituality
• Extended course (£240) on the same weekend: If you are engaged in end-of-life practitioner work, you may also take two extra hours on Sunday morning (starting at 10.30am), which will cover basic psychopomp and ancestral work when supporting dying people. You will also receive extra handouts and teaching during the course for specific end-of-life situations.  More info.

Evening Course

Six evening sessions of 2.5 hours.

• Time: 7.00pm to ca. 9.30pm
• Where: Fireside Lodge, Hanwell, West London
• Costs: 220£ (non-refundable deposit when you sign up: 60£).  No refund if you miss an evening (unless you know it in advance and excuse yourself when you sign up). If you miss an evening, you won't receive a refund, but you may make up for the missed lesson through a private lesson for an additional 40£ per lesson.
• Pre-requisites: None - you need an open mind and an interest in spirituality
