Drum Welcoming and Drum Healing Workshop

This workshop is for people who have a new drum, or would like to create a stronger relationship to a drum they have owned for a while.  You will need to bring your drum to the workshop. 

Please note: This is not a drumming workshop for musicians, but a spiritual workshop for drum healing and meditation!

We will welcome the spirit of your drum, and connect it to the community of the other drums and to 'all our relations'. This will turn your drum from a musical instrument into a shamanic tool. You will also learn some basic drum meditation and healing methods.

  • Ceremony: Welcoming and awakening the spirit of your drum. Empowering your drum.  
  • Teaching: Different uses of the drum in healing work and for your everyday meditations: direct healing work, ceremonies, connection with the ancestors, moving between the worlds, calling in the spirits, etc.
  • Getting to know the spirit of your drum, finding out how you can work together. Explore the 'relationships' of your drum; who are its ancestors, what support system can it bring to you?
  • The song of your drum
  • Direct healing with the drum (Introduction to Tuvan drum healing)
  • Partner work / healing practice

Saturday Course

  • Time: 10.00 to ca. 5.30pm
  • Dates:  18 May 2024. Please get in touch if you are interested. 
  • Cost: £95 (£30 deposit to reserve your space). 
  • Pre-requisites: You need to bring your own drum (hand-held frame drum). No experience required, but an open heart and interest in spiritual/shamanic work.
