Drum Spirit Welcoming and Drum Healing Workshop

If you have bought or made a drum, or use one that has been around your home without a real purpose:  this workshop may be just right for you: We will welcome the drum spirit and connect it to the community of the other drums. This turns your drum from a musical instrument into a shamanic tool.
We start with a drum-welcoming ceremony.  You then do shamanic journey work to create or strengthen your relationship with the spirit of the drum and use it for healing work and guidance.

You need solid shamanic journey skills to attend this workshop, and a good relationship to a spirit ally (such as a power animal or teacher). Please bring your own drum.

  • Different uses of the drum in shamanic work and for your everyday meditations: direct healing work, ceremonies, connection with the ancestors, moving between the worlds, calling in the spirits, etc.
  • Ceremony; Welcoming and awakening the spirit of your drum
  • Journey work: Getting to know the spirit of your drum, finding out how you can work together. Explore the 'relationships' of your drum; who are its ancestors, what support system can it bring to you.
  • The song of your drum
  • Direct healing with the drum (Introduction to Tuvan drum healing)
  • Partner work / healing practice
