Sister Mugwort's many Gifts
Encounters with an ancient smudging and healing plant - an Introduction to Plant Spirit medicine.

Many people burn imported herbs as incense, but we have a traditional smudging plant that has been used by our ancestors in Europe and still grows plentiful all over the countryside: Mugwort.

It is a powerful protective herb and it can support processes of change and transitions in your life. It will strengthen your feminine power (whether you are a woman or a man), your intuition, inner knowledge and ability of lucid dreaming. It also supports processes of grieving and letting go.

Working with this specific plant will teach you skills on how to connect to other plant spirits in your environment to access their teaching and healing power.

• Plant spirit medicine; what it is and how we can work with it.
• History and healing power of Mugwort. How it was used in ancient times. Where it grows and how you can collect it in a respectful way. How you can use it for smudging and tea.
• Practice Plant Spirit work by connecting to a tree, then visit Mugwort in nature.
• Connect to the Mugwort Spirit: What can it teach you? What is your personal connection to its healing power and wisdom? Can you hear its song?
• Mugwort's Latin name: Artemisia vulgaris. Artemis is a Greek goddess (the same as Diana among the Romans) who represents feminine and androgynous energy; you will explore the relationship of the sacred feminine and masculine in yourself through shamanic work with Mugwort.
• The core healing power of Mugwort works through warmth and purification. Its special gift; it fosters lucid dreaming. You will explore your healing/dreaming power with Mugwort and create your unique ceremony to use these special forces.
• Work in pairs to work with healing/song.
• Group ceremony to honour and protect plants like Mugwort (hedge grows).

• When: Saturday, 5 July 2025 (note; this course is partly outdoors. If it is too hot, we may postpone the course to end of August or September; in this case, you will get your deposit back if you cannot make it).
• Time:  1.00pm to ca. 6.30pm
• Where: Fireside Lodge, Hanwell, London
• Costs: 80£ (deposit for sign-up £25)
• Places are limited, please sign-up early to reserve your place. 
• Pre-work/skills required: None. You should be interested in nature and spirituality. You will also learn more about the Path of the Medicine Wheel/Shamanic Path (how we connect to the Universe to gain direct guidance and healing). Come with an open heart and mind.
