Usui Reiki First Degree:
Attunement and Training

Reiki is an ancient Japanese self-development, meditation and energy healing system, which was rediscovered in the early last century. It channels Reiki (meaning 'Universal Life Energy', related to the Chinese Chi) to help release stress and find more mental and emotional balance. 

Learning Reiki  feels like a celebration of yourself: supported by the light, clearing and balancing Reiki energy, you will re-connect to your own inner energy and beauty. The course will inspire you to create a daily practice of self-development, using Reiki hand healing methods and Reiki meditations. These will help you restore balance on all levels of your life, release stress and foster inner harmony and self-confidence.

If you are new to self-development or energy work, you may gain a whole new perspective on who you are and how 'things' work around you. If you have done energy work before, Reiki offers you an additional tool that is simple and effective and can be used without any preparation or effort.

This training will enable you to use Reiki on yourself,  on friends and on family members. Reiki is also beneficial for your pets, plants, food, house and garden. You won't be able to offer Reiki to paying clients after this course (you will need Level 2 and 3 to do this).

Learning Reiki with your Family or Friends

We also offer courses for small groups of up to 6 people, if you like to learn with your friends or family.
Children appreciate Reiki from the age of about 13 years of age. To use Reiki on themselves, they can be attuned even earlier (see also: Reiki for Self Healing).

Content

You will learn the basics of energy work and Reiki history and principles. You will explore methods of meditation and self treatments, which will enable you to create a regular Reiki practice for yourself. You will also learn how to give Reiki to others - both with the traditional hand positions and in an intuitive way. We will discuss the ethical and practical aspects of offering Reiki to others.

The most important aspects of this training are the attunements: the strengthening of your energy-channels (crown, third eye, heart and palms), which allow Reiki to flow freely.
I will also give you a Reiju empowerment in the style of Mikao Usui, which will connect you to Reiki energy even more.

Join our monthly Reiki Share

After the course, you are invited to join our monthly Reiki Share. This is an opportunity to  learn new Reiki self-development and meditation methods, and give and receive Reiki in the context of a friendly group of people.

Private Lessons

• The usual format is three sessions of ca. two hours. In between the sessions, you will engage with assignments, such as pre-reading, Reiki reflections, meditations and self-treatment practice.
• Cost: 390£
• If you bring a friend and you take the lessons together, you will get a discount of 10% (max two people). 
• Location: Fireside Lodge, Hanwell, West London.
• If you cannot travel, I may be able to come to you. Additional travel expenses/travel costs will apply.
• This training can be provided through  Zoom. Ideally, the first lesson is face-to-face though (attunement).
