Taster Course: Core Shamanism
What it is - and How to use Drum Journeying in your Everyday Life.

Core Shamanism (sometimes called classic, urban or universal shamanism) provides a set of tools and practices that help us move from our everyday perception of reality to a deeper and more intuitive way of perceiving. When we explore 'non-ordinary reality' - as opposed to the reality we can see, hear and touch with our senses - we can connect to our essence and access new sources of insights, wisdom, inner strength and transformative energy.

If you are not sure whether you would like to engage with shamanic journeying and other tools in our Foundation Course; this short seminar might be just right for you. It will give you an overview of the history and the contemporary use of shamanism, and you will do some practical work as well: Learning an easy and safe way of 'journeying' to the drum, and either connecting to your power animal or receiving another useful tool for your path.

This workshop will not qualify you to attend the drum circle or the advanced shamanic courses that require fluent journey skills; for this, you would need to attend the Foundation Course.

• What is shamanism?
• The difference between ethnical shamanism (e.g. Mongolian Shamanism, Native American Shamanism, etc.) and universal (or core) shamanism. Why we don't call ourselves "shamans".
• Basic principles and ethics when working with shamanic tools.
• What does "journeying" mean, and how can you use it in your everyday life.
• Journey practice - finding your personal access to the non-ordinary reality.
• Find a power animal or a spirit teacher, and receive some useful insights or tools for your personal journey.
